Your guide to e-cig battery safety

Your e-cig battery and charger provide your device with vitality and when these units are not properly cared for, you may be required to purchase a replacement earlier than expected. So, whether you want some maintenance tips or simply want to learn about when your Logic vape pen needs replacing, continue reading to boost your e-cig knowledge!

How do you charge your Logic vape pen?

Charging your Logic vape pen is easy, and depending on which device you own, each charge differently. For example, the button on the Logic Pro Advanced Vapor System will flash when it needs to be re-charged. You will then need to unscrew the battery from the mouthpiece and proceed by twisting the battery securely onto the USB charger. The charger can then be plugged into any USB port. The light will remain red while it’s charging and turn green when it has reached full battery. Meanwhile, the Logic Power Series charges similarly, although the indicator is located at the tip of the device. When your battery is low, the blue light will flash and you will proceed by unscrewing the battery from the mouthpiece and threading it onto your USB charger. The light will remain blue at the tip of the device and the charger’s indicator light will turn red, showing that the device is charging. When the device is fully charged, the indicator light on your USB will turn green and the blue light at the tip of the device will go out.

If you prefer the Logic Disposable Electronic Cigarette, no charging is needed. Simply vape the device until the pre-filled tank is empty, and recycle the empty device when it’s finished. That’s the beauty of going disposable!

How to appropriately care for your charger

Like most electronic devices, e-cig batteries and chargers will wear over time through use. However, there are some ways that you can ensure longevity and prevent an early replacement.

  • Clean Battery Terminal and Charging Ports: Regularly use a cotton swab to gently clean the terminal of your battery and the charging ports. This prevents the buildup of dust and debris, ensuring a strong and efficient connection for charging.
  • Optimal Charging Practices:
    • Only initiate charging when your battery’s power level falls below 50%. This helps in maintaining the battery’s health and longevity.
    • Avoid overcharging by disconnecting the battery once it is fully charged. Leaving it on the charger for an extended period can degrade its performance over time.
  • Safe Carriage of Battery and Charger:
    • Never carry your battery or charger loosely in your pocket. This prevents the risk of short circuits, which can occur if metal objects like keys or coins come into contact with them.
    • Use a protective case or a separate compartment in your bag for carrying these items to ensure safety.
  • Storage of Spare Batteries and Chargers:
    • Store any spare batteries and chargers in a location that is both cool and dry. Extreme temperatures and moisture can negatively affect their functionality and safety.
    • A stable, controlled environment prolongs the life of your batteries and chargers by preventing damage from environmental factors.
  • Troubleshooting and Warranty Claims:
    • If you experience any problems with your device, first review the warranty terms provided by your retailer. Understanding your coverage can help you resolve issues efficiently.
    • Consult the FAQ section or the blog on the retailer’s website for troubleshooting advice and tips. Often, common issues can be resolved with the guidance available online, saving you time and effort.
  • Compatibility of Batteries and Devices:
    • Always use a battery that is compatible and recommended for your device. Mixing old batteries with new devices can lead to poor performance and may even pose safety risks.
    • This compatibility ensures that your device operates at its best performance and reduces the risk of damage to both the battery and the device.

Not all e-cig devices are equipped with the same battery or charger making it important to purchase from a supplier that has positive reviews to back up the quality of their devices!

When should your device battery or charger be replaced?

Keeping an eye on the above factors, here are some things to consider:

  • If you have accidentally dropped your device battery or charger into water, we recommend discarding the electronic and purchasing a new one for safety reasons.
  • If there is damage to the electronic as a result of dropping it.
  • If your device or charger is malfunctioning or if there’s a burning smell emitting.
